Line 15 South, the next stage of the future Grand Paris Express
Ile de France / France
Project manager: Société du Grand Paris
Bouygues Travaux Publics is involved in the construction of Line 15 South of the Grand Paris Express with lots T2A, T3A and T3B. A total of 12 kilometres of tunnels will be dug by four tunnelling machines on these three lots. As part of the Horizon consortium, Bouygues Travaux Publics will also be responsible for the construction of seven railway stations. The T2A project has been awarded the TopSite label in recognition of all aspects of CSR being taken into account in this large-scale project, which is subject to considerable constraints in a very dense urban area and a high level of shared activity with the SNCF rail network. These sections of Line 15 South will offer real alternatives to travelling by car and improve access to major public facilities such as the Institut Gustave-Roussy cancer centre in Villejuif and the Henri-Mondor hospital in Créteil.
“The Grand Paris Express is the expression of what we are trying to create for the Paris of the future: these infrastructure works are set to transform the lives of the people who live there for years to come.”

The Grand Paris Express
The Grand Paris Express is: a new transport network for the Paris region serving a new vision of the city—denser, more pleasant and more sustainable. A total of 200 km, four new automatic métro lines and 68 stations to better connect the city centre to the outskirts and provide connections between suburban areas, bringing together the places where people live and where they work.
Did you know?
The future Grand Paris Express network will rely on six operations centres, including the maintenance and storage site in Aulnay-sous-Bois.
Construction of this facility has been delegated to the consortium headed by Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France Ouvrages Publics and Brézillon. This outsized project includes halls, load-bearing structures and building facades 540 metres long and 23 metres high for the infrastructure maintenance site, in order to meet the considerable size and height requirements of railway maintenance buildings.
AUD 370 million
This is the value of the contract won by Bouygues Construction subsidiary AW Edwards to build the new Crows Nest metro station, which will be the first stop on the line connecting Chatswood to Sydney’s central business district when the metro line is extended in 2024. This will provide new public transport access to the residential area of Crows Nest, as well as to schools and local businesses.

Acoustic barriers
Acoustic barriers have been fitted on the palisades of Line 15 South construction sites to absorb noise. This is in addition to raising staff awareness and the systematic covering of equipment in order to attenuate engine noise.
