The Humber Cultural Hub, a range of technologies for arts and culture

The Humber Cultural Hub is an ambitious and innovative project to transform the Lakeshore campus, one of three campuses of the Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning. Intended to be the epicentre of creativity for students, industry and the local art community, the future cultural centre will cover a surface area of around 35,000 m². It will comprise a multidisciplinary performance space with professional quality multimedia post-production and projection facilities, a music laboratory, 3D animation spaces as well as a large, light-filled atrium, outdoor spaces and an amphitheatre for well-known events such as the Festival of Culture and Doors Open Toronto. The buildings are designed to offer a large amount of flexibility of use and will include cutting-edge IT equipment such as biometric surveillance and map projection.
